My name is William Reckley, and I am a Neurology resident at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
The function that the brain plays in humans has always fascinated me. From the physical workings in neurons up to the unknown mechanisms of memory, thought, and the psyche. It was this original fascination that sparked my interest in languages and behavior. When I entered university, I tried to figure out how to merge my interests, and thus I decided on a combination of computer science and psychology.
Derived from those experiences and interests, alongside personal and volunteer experiences, I entered the medical field knowing that I wanted to work with the brain in some capacity.
